STEPA is setting new standards.

The new C-Series from STEPA

STEPA presented a world first at the autumn trade fairs in 2016 - the new generation of forestry trailers, which is called C-Series. With this new series, which is established on the market since 2017, STEPA has opened a new chapter in the forestry trailer market. The new hexagonal base frame profile, which is used from the articulated drawbar to the extendable pull-out frame is particularly striking. This is neither a classic mono frame nor a double frame construction. The large hexagonal profile shape is wider and therefore more than twice as strong on torsion than all other frame shapes so far. Moreover the cran structure can directly be mounted on the base frame without any complex reinforcement plates. Hence the application of force of the crane movements into the frame happens direct. As a further highlight, both the new reinforced and enlarged front grille as well as the hydraulic tank are available in screwed design. New sealed bearing points on the articulated drawbar and the bogey axle reduce maintenance requirements and also enable important hoses to be installed protected in the frame. STEPA is setting new standards.

Innovations at a glance:

  • more than twice as high torsional strength
  • hexagonal continous frame profile
  • integrated crane mounting platform
  • internal hose guide
  • new, bigger and stronger front grille
  • new screwed hydraulic tank
  • sealed bearings on the articulated drawbar and the bogey axle
